Kilimanjaro climb raises over £25,000 for Brain Tumour UK

Enthusiastic supporters of Brain Tumour UK have raised more than £25,000 for the charity after completing a 6,000m climb to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Having battled fatigue and a number of minor accidents en route, the nine friends from Solihull (left to right) Roy O’Grady, Ellie Burchell, Judy Foote, Tracey Dunn, Mark Pikering, Carol Hatherly, Angela Roberts and in front, Ann Jackson, are pictured at the summit celebrating their success.

Tracey Dunn, Brain Tumour UK Community Fundraiser and one of the organisers said: “It was a lot harder than we could ever have imagined but we had a fantastic time and would like to pass on our thanks to everyone who supported us.”

Brain Tumour UK is devoted to improving the lives of everyone who is affected by brain tumours.
