Tech firm advances with bank support

A leading supplier of high-tech electronic accessories has expanded into new 14,000 sq/ft premises and is targeting continued growth following a seven figure deal with Yorkshire Bank.

Bluechipworld Sales and Marketing Limited produces six of its own technology brands and supplies accessories to customers such as Sainsbury’s, Argos and Amazon and also distributes the MiTEC product line exclusively to Tesco. The firm’s diverse product portfolio includes cutting edge technology targeted at mass market, high-end consumer electronic accessories as well as novelty audio gadgets.

It was the first company in the UK to introduce Virtual Reality goggles at the Gadget Show Live conference in Birmingham under the iCandy name. iCandy is also known for its novelty Safari speakers line, where the animated speakers dance and sing along to music.

Bluechipworld also manufactures luxury music devices in partnership with Aston Villa legend Ian Taylor, who is majority shareholder of the iT7 brand. Current ambassadors of iT7 include Grammy award winner Gregory Porter and professional footballer Robbie Keane. iT7 also provided products to the England national football and cricket teams and won a bronze award in Men’s Running awards 2015 for its wireless sports headphones line.

Bluechipworld is an international business headquartered in Cannock, Staffordshire with an office in Hong Kong, maintaining strong relationships with long term manufacturing partners in China.

The seven figure funding package from Yorkshire Bank has assisted with the firm’s relocation to the new premises and enabled the organisation to increase the number of employees by 13%, across a number of disciplines including sales, marketing, finance and operations over past four months.

The funding package was facilitated by Peter Brooke, Relationship Manager at Yorkshire Bank’s Customer Banking Centre in Birmingham, David Hewitt of the Bank’s Asset Based Lending team and Simon Hayden, the Bank’s international Trade Manager in the region.
