An unexpected event

Wilkes promotions 2017

Wilkes promotions 2017Let me all tell you a story of how I got locked up in my house by accident.

That day I was at home with my brother. It was a Thursday morning and our parents were on a vacation for two weeks. This year my brother and I didn’t go with them because of our busy schedule. I go to a regular state school in London and my brother attends the University of London. We have a house that is located in the heart of London. My brother and I don’t live too far from our schools. We go by bicycle every day unless there is heavy rain or wind. So on this Thursday morning my brother had to go to the university by bicycle and I was going by bus. I was not feeling well that day so I decided to go by bus. My brother knew about this as well.

But before I went to school I wanted to get something from the garage. I was looking for my black boots. It was getting colder and I had put them away because of change of seasons. I had put them in a box I remembered, but I didn’t exactly know where. After looking for them for approximately 20 minutes I finally found them. However, when I got to the fire door I noticed that the door was locked. I was in panic. I looked at my watch and I knew my brother had already left.

All of a sudden my brother decided to close the door before he went to the university. He figured I would be upstairs preparing for school, so that is why he didn’t bother to look if anyone was in the garage.

While I was in the garage, I was thinking of ways to get out of there. First of all, I didn’t have my phone with me. So calling someone for help would clearly not work out. Secondly, I tried to shout for help but I didn’t get any reaction. Everyone was probably busy getting ready for work or school in the morning and didn’t bother to even look of what is going on outside.

After sitting in the garage for one hour, I suddenly remembered I left my old phone there. The only problem was to find my charging cable. I looked everywhere: under the closets, above the closets, in all of the drawers, under the car, etc. Unfortunately, it was nowhere to be found.

Then from far away I saw some black wires at the top of some boxes. My charging cable was also between them. Apparently, I didn’t thoroughly inspect the boxes. I quickly charged my phone up. After a few minutes I charged it up and it was ready to work.
